Dear Mr. Descy:
The Mankato Area Chamber and Convention Bureau invests hundreds of thousands of dollars and thousands of hours of staff and volunteer time to market our community to attract students, a labor force, industry, customers and tourists. The numerous people involved in this venture are very proud of their efforts.
For some time your project on the Internet has troubled us. It is unfortunate that the Free Press chose to write about you and even more so for not pointing out the irresponsibility of your actions. Though you claim it was done in the name of education many are laughing at our community rather than with it. Our office has received numerous enquiries on the fictitious information and it is very embarrassing to have to explain it as nothing more than a prank.
Please consider that Game Boys are available at most electronic stores. It is less harmful toy (SIC).
